Minority Business Leaders (EMBL) Summer Institute
Undergraduate and Graduate Students,
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc. (SHPE) AHETEMS Office is working with the West Virginia High Technology Consortium Foundation to provide full-time, qualified, undergraduate and graduate students, who are interested in entrepreneurialism, developing technology business plans, taking engineering products to market, and patent processing, the opportunity to attend a competitive two-week Emerging Minority Business Leaders (EMBL) Summer Institute from June 11-23, 2006, at West Virginia
Liberty College.
The WVHFC Foundation will provide registration, lodging, meals, $1500 stipend, and 3-graduate level credits. SHPE will provide assistance with travel to selected participants. NOTE: You do not have to be a SHPE member to apply for the travel assistance.
ELIGIBILITY
- U.S. and non-U.S. citizens
- A 3.25 cumulative GPA minimum
- Rising junior, senior, graduating senior or graduate student.
- Attend an accredited university full-time
- Member of an ethnic minority group or be a student attending a minority
serving institution full-time
DEADLINE
Applications must be RECEIVED by EMBL by Friday, April 28, 2006. However,
you are strongly encouraged to submit your application, as soon as
possible, as applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

notify her that you are submitting an application so your application can
also be considered for the travel assistance.
