GEM Graduate &Undergraduate Conference Registration and Travel Waivers
The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, Inc. (SHPE) AHETEMS Office andthe National GEM Consortium have partnered to provide eligible SHPE undergraduate and graduate students competitive financial support to attend one of two mini-conferences held in conjunction with the 2006 GEM Annual Conference and 30th Anniversary Gala, at the InterContinentalHotel, in Chicago, Illinois, from June 28 - June 30, 2006. The National GEM Consortium is providing several conference registration waivers for selected SHPE students. SHPE is providing travel stipends, up to $300, to selected SHPE students. The mini-conference tracks are as follows:
GRADUATE STUDENTS
Future Faculty and Professional (FFP) Symposium
Wednesday, June 28 - Friday, June 30, 2006
Development track for engineering and science PhD and Masters students
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
Getting Ready for Advanced Degrees (GRAD) Lab
Thursday, June 29, 2006
Development track for undergraduate engineering and science students
To apply for these waivers and stipends, please complete the attached registration form and submit by 11:59 p.m. PST, Friday, May 12, 2006, by email or fax to:
